ASSOCIATION

Gullivers World win their appeal.  We now have a permanent home for the Heritage Centre.

Editors Note

The UK branch of the Association held its AGM on Monday 5th March.  The meeting was addressed by Julie Dalton Managing Director of Gullivers World.  Members may already be aware that Gullivers World have been successful with their appeal for planning permission to build a hotel and Heritage Centre.  Julie outlined the time scale for the development.  The next 6 months will be time to revisit the plans and decide exactly what needs to be done.  Work is expected to commence by the end of this year and the build will take approximately 18 months.  Both the hotel and Centre will be open to the public by 2009/10.

Peter Singleton

Joyce Singleton has submitted a photograph of her grandfather Peter Singleton.  Peter is the shortest person in the picture and was a stoker at Burtonwood.  Joyce was wondering if anyone remembers her grandfather and what is the name of the tall guy in the picture.
