HELP REQUIRED

by DENNIS BURKE

I am searching for information about three men that I understand were operating out of BADA Burtonwood in November 1945.

They were:
Maj Frederick B. Johnson O-661102
S/Sgt Egon L Eck 35316683
Lt/Col James J Shown O-913379

They were onboard B-17 44-6883 on November 12th 1945 when the aircraft slid off the grass at Baldonnel airfield in Dublin, the headquarters of the Irish Air Corps.  I believe that it was common to have US aircraft visiting there at this time.

John Redfern

Terry Heaps has sent a collection of stories written by John Redfern.  John didn't serve at Burtonwood but spent some time in his service career at RNAS Stretton.  The stories are humorous and anyone with a service background will relate to them.  I have placed the stories on the members page or you can click here

Have you visited our sister site in the US?  Well worth a visit
