Jet Engine Washer

We must not forget that it wasn't just Americans that worked at Burtonwood but British civilians too.  Here is a story in pictures about Mr. George Taylor and his colleagues.  Together they designed and built a jet engine washer from scrap items found on the base.  Click here to follow the story.

Fancy a movie tonight?

In the 1950s most living sites had a theatre or theater.  According to the Burtonwood Beacon published on Tuesday June 9th, 1953 these are the films not to miss!

If you don't fancy a movie why not meet up with friends at the club?
